Our goal with Simple CPAP is to build a CPAP circuit that can be easily built and maintained in low-resource settings. Simple CPAP was designed in Uganda under CAMTech and has undergone multiple iterations using local end-user feedback. Our current version has been tested by the Respiratory Therapy lab at Massachusetts General Hospital and successfully delivered pressures and flows consistent with a known machine on the market. The unit is also undergoing a vetting process by partners at Lattice Innovations in Delhi, India. With Simple CPAP we aim to provide units that are easy to use, remain inexpensive, and ultimately save thousands of pediatric lives.
